Artist’s Genre: Ceramics
Carol (or Kaoli) was born in the Sierra Foothills of California and grew up in Sacramento, where she was exposed to the mountains, snow, and lakes, defining her early love for nature. Later in life, she started sharing her time between Maui and California.
Maui strengthened Carol’s appreciation of natural beauty and her interest in the mystical stories of the islands. Those influences are now expressed in her ceramic work combining shapes, colors, and expressions of Maui.
About Her Ceramic Pieces
Each piece Carol creates is handcrafted and unique. She entered the world of ceramics after a long desire to express herself through art. Life finally allowed her to pause her daily routines to dedicate time to her newfound passion.
